This research project, in conjunction with The University of Edinburgh, focuses on providing accessible, clear information about land use and carbon sequestration potential in Scotland. Engaging everyone in Scotland's response to the Climate Emergency requires making meaningful data easy to find and understand. Many landowners and managers face challenges in making informed decisions about carbon storage, whether due to limited access to expert knowledge or the complexity of evaluating various land use options. This lack of accessible guidance is hindering timely, effective decisions necessary for utilising land for carbon sequestration, which is crucial to achieving Scotland’s net-zero goals.
